Latika Katt

A prolific and pioneering sculptor, Latika Katt (1948-2025) worked across bronze, terracotta, stone and plaster. Katt’s early fame rested on her portrait busts of key figures of newly independent India, while her later practice shifted towards organic textures, ecological forms and Varanasi, her lifelong home, capturing the simultaneity of life and death in the ancient city.
